In my Creativity Coaching, I read and hear from students and fellow coaches weekly a lot of the same information. How to break out of boring routines; how to inspire yourself with new goals and things like that. Yesterday I got word from a friend about a new book that is being published, “Straight Talk For Success”, by Bob Bilanich.Some points from his new book are as follows:1. Successful people are self confident!2. Successful people have positive personal impact!3. Successful people are outstanding performers!4. Successful people are excellent communicators!5. Successful people are interpersonally competent!The one I want to focus on today is #3 - Successful people are outstanding performers! Bob goes on to say that “Outstanding Performers” stay technically competent by by becoming lifelong learners. “Join and participate in professional societies. Get an advanced degree. Read. Attend seminars and workshops,” Bob goes on to say.That’s exactly what I’m talking about!! He says it better than I ever could. So if you have the opportunity to learn; whether it be from a seminar, a workshop, or a convention; do so. Anything that pushes you will make you grow.
